Why pay for overpriced cold brew at a coffee shop when you can make it quickly and easily at home with just a french press? This delicious cold brew is the perfect addition to your morning coffee routine.
While I too enjoy paying six dollars every once in a while for a hand-crafted beverage from my local coffee shop, I abruptly stopped after realizing how easy this recipe is to make it home. All you need is a french press, some ground coffee, and some coconut milk and you're ready to go.
3 c of cold water
8 tbsp ground coffee
Vanilla syrup + full-fat canned coconut milk (to taste)
Place your ground coffee and cold water in your french press, and stick it in the fridge overnight. It's as easy as that!
The next day, just pour your cold brew over ice and toss in your vanilla syrup and full-fat canned coconut milk according to your preference.
NOTE: You may have to experiment a bit with how many spoons of coffee you add to your french press to get your desired strength. The outcome can vary depending on the type of roast you use as well - light, medium, or dark. I made mine with dark roast. Just keep in mind that it is better to brew your coffee too strong rather than too light because you can always dilute it with cold water once its brewed!
